Escribir una bitácora sobre ciencia puede tener su punto de controversia, pero de lo que no hay duda es que también tiene recompensas. Dicen que el amor es física, y el matrimonio química. De ser así, debe haber mucho amor entre Sean Carroll, propietario de Cosmic Variance, una de las bitácoras sobre física más populares, y Jennifer Ouellette, escritora científica, y proprietaria de Cocktail Party Physics, otra bitácora sobre física. De hecho, se han prometido en matrimonio, tal como Sean anuncia aquí, y Jennifer aquí, ocho meses después de conocerse a través de la bitácora.

Enhorabuena a la feliz pareja. Ahora les toca demostrar la segunda parte del aforismo, y reciclarse en buenos químicos.

Writing a blog about Science can be somewhat controversial but, no doubt about this, it also has its rewards. The aforism has it that love is physics, and marriage is chemistry. Being thus, there must be indeed love between Sean Carroll, proprietor of Cosmic Variance, one of the most popular blogs about physics, and Jennifer Ouellette, science writer, and proprietess of Cocktail Party Physics, another blog on physics. In fact, they are now engaged, as Sean announces here, and Jennifer does here, eight months after getting in touch through the blog.

Congratulations to the Happy Couple. Now, it’s their turn to prove the second part of the aforism, and recycle into good chemists.
